I'm a doer. I get shit done. I'm also strong, bossy, organized, impatient, punctual, reliable, mean as a snake when provoked, feminist, liberal, loyal. I know my strengths and weaknesses and can admit to both.
I tell it like it is, think in list form, and have never cared if people like me - they do or they don't, me caring about it isn't going to change it either way. I function best within a routine, celebrate my birthday for the entire month, get up at the crack of dawn on vacation to see the sun rise, and always wear sunglasses even when it's overcast.
I love a clean house, coffee, nail polish, fresh sheets, Dirty Dancing, reading, the ocean, laughing raucously, cooking, planning ahead, vacations, the benevolent and karmic nature of the universe, and flip flops.
I dislike poor grammar, whining, talking on the phone, being patronized, weak people, heels, passive aggressiveness, entitlement, and tardiness.
I'm married to MFD and we have three pugs: Gus, Mae, and Bruce Springsteen. And Geegie boy, forever.
Hey there,
ReplyDeleteI'm Jamie. A new blogger who came across yours by accident. After reading your "About Me" section and realizing we have a lot in common, I scrolled down to your quotes section, even more in common. Just wanted to send a message as a new blogger to say I'll be reading yours and laughing. I hope that's what you're going for. Laughing with you, not at you of course. Also, I'd love to pick your brain if I could on how you got your blog started.
Hope to hear from you soon.
(Enter Willy Wonka quote.)
I notice that you, too, like creative curse words. Only, I never REALIZED I liked creative curse words until you just said it (typed it?). This prompts me to inquire if you, like me, consider the fictional and lovely and creatively filthy-mouthed Deborah Morgan of Dexter fame to be your spirit animal. I mean, seriously. Any girl who brings such gems as "holy fuckmother" to my vocabulary is alright by me - and when I say "alright" I mean my hero - I care not that she's fictional, I care not.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Deb from Dexter is my spirit animal too. I think my favorite of hers was "Holy frankenfuck! Snakes! :)
DeleteLook at you - a fellow Pisces! Put "cats" in place of "dogs" and I think we could be long lost twins! ;) I enjoyed reading your list, Steph and look forward to reading more from your blog. Take care!
