2. How to start your day, everyone. Everyone.

4. Birthday month is ending quietly as it began, with a series of small treat yo'selves. This week I found myself in Shakespeare & Co. Rittenhouse staring at bookshelves and eavesdropping on two young women talking about how literary fiction is just so throw away, you know? Mmm hmm.
5. I also closed out my birthday month spending some of my birthday money on less fun purchases. We've been in our house for 10 years this year. The outdoor cushions are the same age and they need replacing so I ordered a cheap version of replacements and am keeping my fingers crossed they fit-ish. Why the F are outdoor cushions so expensive?
6. The grill is beyond its last legs too, it's over eight years old and its insides are burned away and the igniter has given up the ghost, but I did coax it into making some delicious grilled chicken on Tuesday night. I could eat grilled chicken pretty much every day.
7. Where are you?
8. Between Devos cutting the Education budget (including Special Olympics) while increasing funding for charter schools, Barr's son being hired at the White House, the Antwon Rose verdict, activist Amber Evans found dead in the river, the NRA coming out publicly against the Violence Against Women act, the republican law maker praying for forgiveness in a state house here in PA in a hateful Islamophobic manner right before the first muslim woman to be a state rep in PA was sworn in, my idiot Senator talking out of his ass on climate change, and a host of other bullshit...most of our systems need to be broken and rebuilt.

10. Ecards.
Happy Opening Day, Phillies fans! It’s a beautiful day to welcome Bryce Harper the Philly way.
What appears after the hyphen in Thursday Thoughts is a song lyric to whatever I'm listening to when I start to write the post. This week is Nanci by Toad the Wet Sprocket
