Engrossing Reads
Blood Runs Cold (Detective Anna Gwynne #2) by Dylan Young - Loved this one just as I liked the first. I will definitely read more of this series. Free ARC e-book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review - Buy Blood Runs Cold from Amazon

Sunburn by Laura Lippman - I was completely sold on this book on the cover alone. I was going to buy it, that's how badly I wanted to read it as soon as I saw it, but OCNJ library to the rescue. I liked it. It was a weird and wandering story where few people were likable but I was drawn to it like crazy all throughout the read. Passed the Time Just Fine
The Neighbors by Hannah Mary McKinnon - This entire thing was fucked. I figured out one major thing early on but not the rest. Worth a read. Philly library paperback -Buy The Neighbors from Amazon

The Summer House by Hannah McKinnon - Well, what a departure from The Neighbors. Seriously people, night and fucking day. This was like the not serious at all kid sister who made a few attempts to steal the spotlight from the drama filled older sister. Philly library paperback - Buy The Summer House from Amazon 

Tangerine by Christine Mangan - I felt weird the entire time I was reading this, like I was a crazy person. I kept thinking do I want to finish this? Yes, I did. Interesting and unlike many other things I've read. OCNJ library hardback - Buy Tangerine from Amazon

UNSUB (UNSUB #1) by Meg Gardiner - My first in the series - hello, did the #1 give it away? I liked it, I'll read more. OCNJ library hardback - Buy UNSUB from Amazon

Celine by Peter Heller - I freaking loved Celine the character. And her husband. And the writing. The book was a smidge slow because it felt conversational, like I was brought into Celine's confidence. I loved that. Hardback, own - Buy Celine from Amazon

Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman - Quick read, a lot of moving pieces. I thought something more was happening all along but there wasn’t. This is Reese Witherspoon's book club pick for June. Free e-copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Buy Something in the Water from Amazon

I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara - I read this in less than 24 hours. I liked it a lot, but true crime is not my favorite thing to read. I love fake crime. I enjoyed how Michelle came through in her writing and am sad that this is a posthumous publication. It's also nuts how much of a difference DNA and databases make now, but also how solving crimes at its base hasn't really changed. OCNJ library hardback - Buy I'll Be Gone in the Dark from Amazon

Not Worth It
Say You're Sorry by Melinda Leigh - I can see why a lot of people like Melinda Leigh  but I just didn't like the plot of this one. It felt tired to me almost from the start and that's never good. Amazon kindle e-book - Buy Say You're Sorry (Morgan Dane Book 1) from Amazon

Lying in Wait by Liz Nugent - This book was difficult - slow, not really interested in picking it back up, so I read half and then read the last half.
