Humans aren't the only beings that like frozen treats. Dogs do too.
Ingredients
1C organic pumpkin
1C greek yogurt
1C peanut butter
(make sure none of those things have xylitol, it is deadly for dogs).
Directions
Mix well - I used an immersion blender but you can do it by hand. Put in ice cube trays, about a quarter of the way full in each. Freeze for 24 hours.
My dogs go nuts for these.
We used to buy the Frosty Paws at the store but then I saw the ingredients and stopped that. I make something similar to this - no pumpkin but I use a couple overripe bananas. It's gotten to where they stop at the freezer when they come in after playing awhile outside.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Cooper would go nuts over these. And, in the likely chance that Ella got her hands (or mouth) on them, they wouldn't be AS horrible as the dog chew sticks lol
ReplyDeleteMaking these for Gatsby!
ReplyDeleteLy and Enzo would love me (and you) forever if I made them these... I need to remember to grab this stuff from the store next time!
ReplyDeleteI need to remember to make these, Hawkeye is a pumpkin fiend, she'll even try to eat carved pumpkins at Halloween.
ReplyDeleteOh such a great treat, and the perfect texture for my poor pup who only has molars left.
ReplyDeleteHow fun are these doggy treats! All of Roxy's ol' favs - yogurt, peanut butter, and pumpkin! Saving this for our next duggy which will hopefully be sooner than later <3
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this out for Mac. He would be so happy!
