I was up at 6 on Saturday to walk all three dogs, then I took my beach boy Bruce down for the sunrise. Lots of erosion from the last few N'oreasters.
Mom, Debbie, and I did some shopping on Asbury at L.E.H Soap and our favorite Blue Lotus, then had lunch at OC Surf Cafe while Rich road his bike and MFD was on dog duty and waiting for my brother to arrive.
We reconvened back at the house then ate and laughed ourselves silly and talked about poop and farting like usual. Mom made nachos, which seems to be our new traditional Easter Saturday dinner, and brought everyone Easter candy and I didn't have to make a thing all weekend. I ate 679 pieces of her strawberry cake too. It was awesome. Lots of relaxing and March Madness at night.
Easter sunrise with my buddy Bruce again.
Coffee, reading, dog time, nails (Sally Hansen Cherry Fast).
Mom, Debbie, and I hit the boardwalk for a lovely stroll while Rich was on his bike and MFD was watching movies. The weather was superb. I had my first slice of Tony P's and my first Kohr Bros of the season. The boardwalk is a people watching extravaganza.
We stuffed ourselves with a delicious seafood dinner a la my mom plus Debbie’s eggs and lolled around before cleaning up and heading out. I love this spending Easter at the shore with my people tradition.
I planned to stay over and leave this morning but the MFing snow that's expected busted up my groove. So absurd to be driving home last night, 60 degrees, windows down and seeing signs that said “Winter weather tomorrow morning. Be prepared.”
You know what I’m prepared for? No more winter weather.
Hope you had a happy Passover/Easter/weekend!
Sounds like a perfect Easter weekend with plenty of family time & sunrises! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend. I hope to get my blog updated about my weekend soon.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the snow, we have a new pastor from CA. I mentioned to her in July “I can’t wait for you to experience the first snowfall.” I was only ask for 1 snowfall not an extremely long winter so I apologize 😏.
Your weekend sounds very nice. Sorry it was cut short by impending weather. Winter will leave soon, winter will leave soon.
ReplyDeletePS. I love the picture of Bruce on the beach with the sunrise glow illuminating him!
I sort of lost focus after you mentioned strawberry cake! It's my favorite! Sounds like a great weekend and I can't believe you guys are still dealing with snow. Seriously. What's going on?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend at the shore with your family! I love that Bruce is your little beach buddy. Perfect little sunrise companion! Celebrating holidays away from home might be one of my favorite things- it's nice to get away from the "normal" and relax with friends and family.
ReplyDeleteThose sunrise photos of yours are always the best! Sounds like a great weekend with family at the shore. I need to make nachos an Easter Saturday tradition too!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than the beach, food, and dogs! Looks like you had a great Easter weekend.

We are having winter weather today, in the 70's with chance of tornados & thunderstorms & then back to winter weather. It's getting ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI love Nacho's are becoming an Easter weekend tradition.
We're getting more winter weather, too - enough! An Easter spent at the shore is the way to do it, I think. Have a great Monday.
ReplyDeleteI really love your nail color. Those deviled eggs! I was craving them but wasn't in the mood to make any. I might have to just breakdown & do it at some point this week.
ReplyDeleteSnow?? It is 80 degrees here. Though we are supposed to have another cold snap. Cold for us at this time of year, anyways. I love your shore weekend fun! Nachos for Easter sounds pretty solid to me!
ReplyDeleteSo much good food and fun quality time spent with family! Sounds like an awesome Easter weekend and even better you didn't have to cook once. As usually the sunrise views are glorious! That alone would brighten my day. Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteIt's always verrrrry disconcerting when you can't tell the weather will change, and it feels like there's definitely no winter weather on the horizon.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of setting up a new tradition at the shore.
That sunrise almost makes this non-morning person want to get up earlier... almost! Yay for the return of weekends at the shore <3
ReplyDeleteI will never get sick of your beachfront sunrises/sunsets. Looks like your easter weekend is was even better than normal with multiple amazing ones!
ReplyDeleteSteph that picture of the sunrise is amazing. You need to make a calendar from pictures of the shore or enter local photo contests. Really...Pam
ReplyDeleteNO MORE WINTER!!!!! Cheers to the fabulous sunrises.
ReplyDeleteYour Mum's food looks pretty darn amazing! I love where she lives - it reminds me of our British seaside resorts. And only 679 pieces of cake - were you ill and holding back?
ReplyDeleteWe got almost a foot of snow. I'm so over it. Just raging pissed.
