March Recommendations

1. Marshalls/HomeGoods for everything, but especially mirrors. Mirrors are expensive, especially bigger mirrors. Not so expensive at Marshalls. I got a 24x36 for $24 ($30 less 20% coupon from my aunt Dawn).

2. Old Navy Spring Dresses - I have a lot of dresses. They are my spring, summer, and fall uniform and what I wear the most both to work and to kick around in. Every spring I buy new ones to replace the ones I've had to get rid of - this year I had to say goodbye to one I've worn faithfully for 12 years as well as two other favorites that were worn to hell. I soothed my soul with this one and this one. Sleeveless is fine on the weekends or when I step out into the sauna after work or at lunch, but I have a few cardigans like this one to throw on over them for work.

3. Shipt - Full disclosure: this is a preemptive try it with me recommendation for those of you who are geographically close to me and have also been dying on the vine since Amazon Fresh ripped our hearts out and stopped delivering to this area. Shipt is now delivering groceries from Target which is good news for people like me who have been buying a lot of groceries from Target (love the Simply Balanced line, just bare chicken, and prices/sales/coupons in general), but the best is that if I need something regular from Target AND cold groceries, they will deliver both. My fellow introvert friend Stacey and I are very freaking excited about this. The yearly fee is $99. From now until 3/30, you can sign up for $49 and delivery over $35 is free and even more importantly for me, same day delivery is available. Full disclosure: if you use the links I've provided, you get $10 in free groceries and can try the service for two weeks and I get $10 in groceries as well. They are of course in other markets as well, so if you're not local, check it out for your area.

What are you recommending lately?

  2. Good news about the dresses I need more for when it gets super hot in the classroom.
I love Chewy for a recommendation. Amazing customer service and even gave me a discount because fed ex was late. I have probably recommended them before but that is how much I love them.

  3. Old Navy dresses are all I wear and I'm a cardi-gal. I'm actually pretty bummed that I had an email from ON for $10 cardigans and I clicked on it a day late. We have Shipt in my area but they deliver from Meijers - I think if they were delivering Target groceries and goods, I'd probably sign up in a flash.

  4. I love Home Goods though I have zero luck with Old Navy clothes... they're so cute on others but something about the way they are cut and my body type just do not go together. Except their workout clothes, which are perfectly fine. Thanks for linking up!

  7. Absolutely love those dresses - I tried on the blue and white one, but it didn't fit me quite right. It's super cute, though!

  8. I just went shopping at ON this weekend and came home with 3 new dresses and 3 new shirts. I love them all! SO comfortable!
Marshalls/HomeGoods is the bomb, too. I didn't know you could use coupons there, though!

  10. I am loving the app Canva to make graphics for my blog and pageant stuff. I used Sabatino truffle zest last night in a chicken and mushroom bubble-up casserole, and it made my mouth smile. I am loving the Zimmern List on Travel Channel Tuesday nights, and the SNS powder dip manicure has changed my life.

  11. I really love that striped tier dress. I pretty much wear dresses and denim jacks allllll spring/summer/fall long as well. Who has time for pants in the heat. NOT ME! Hell yes to TJ Maxx/HomeGoods. I get everything I can at those places.

  12. It's both great and terrible that I have a Home Goods (and TJMaxx) within walking distance of my apartment, but I will agree that it's great for mirrors- I have 2 from there. I'm confused by this Shipt website- it doesn't list PA or NJ in their coverage areas?

  13. God I love Home Goods. I'm moving this weekend and I can't wait to get in there to get some home decor items. Kohls and Marshalls (and TJ Maxx, Target) are all great, too. I've stopped caring about clothes and want alllllllll the new apartment stuff.

  15. We are getting a Marshall's in my town...sometime! I've heard lots of good things so looking forward to checking it out. Also thanks for the ON tip- planning on doing a mini-shopping spree in April to update the wardrobe and was looking for new dresses for work :)

  16. Old Navy never fails to pull me in to their dress sales. I will say that their dresses have rarely let me down.

  17. Home Goods is my definite go-to for cute and affordable home decor and furnishings! The photo of Bruce reminds me so much of Lola when she was not 55 lbs and would hang out on our patio table for happy hour. She has since then realized she can hardly even jump up on our patio chairs without help. Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

  18. I browse Homegoods all the time for cheap luxury candles! So much goodness in there.

  19. We bought new luggages at Marshalls/TJ Maxx for this trip. WORTH. IT. Such a better deal than paying retail anywhere. My only regret is that I didn't stand my ground and get two of the Samsonite and two different brands to try... because the Samsonite is a workhorse on the inside, too. (Mirrors are stupidly overpriced. Most of ours came from there, too.)

  20. I love Old Navy everything and I'm very sad it doesn't exist here. They do ship here if I order online, although I'm wondering whether the shipping + customs fees will balance out the good prices... Shipt sounds amazing, I hope it works for you.

I'm currently recommending Who Gives A Crap loo roll! https://au.whogivesacrap.org/ it's eco friendly and 50% of profits go to charity. And it comes in jazzy wrapping. Pretty sure you can't get it in the US (sorry) but just in case any Aussies read this at any point...
