Heyohhhh. Happy Halloween to all of you and happy birthday to my uncle Perry and my long-time friend Jimmy and my friend Lauren, one of the hostesses of this linkup.
I don't have any candy for you (shit, I might not have any for anyone since MFD knows where it lives) but I do have recommendations and I'm giving them out to everyone like Oprah gives out her favorite things. You get a recommendation and you get a recommendation and you get a recommendation.
1. I could eat this by the spoonful with nothing else. Not very healthy but very tart and delicious and this might explain why I've been eating PB&J for lunch a lot. MFD is hooked also. And just as we're hooked, I can not find it in the two Targets closest to me anymore. Don't do me like that, Target.
2. Budget Bytes App - It's $2.99 and worth it. I've never made a bad thing from this site, and as you can see by the name it's budget friendly. It's nice to be able to file the recipes on my phone without having to open pinterest and find them.
3. Vitamin E Body Butter from The Body Shop - This is not the first time I'm recommending this and it will not be the last. It is the best thing for my skin in the winter. Last week there was a three for three sale, hopefully you click on that link and there still is.
4. Voting NO to Amending the Homestead Property Tax Assessment Exclusion on November 7 (PA Only) - If you vote yes, it is a vote for stupidity - like you think they will eliminate property taxes and not tax you somewhere else: increased sales tax, new applications for the sales tax (on food and public transportation, which we don't pay now), and increased personal income tax. It's the government, people. They aren't going to just say oh, you don't need to pay those taxes anymore. Besides, this tax they want to take away funds fire, police, schools. Do we not support fire departments? Do we not need police? Do we not care about everyone getting access to education? Do we not care about our property values that are tied to neighborhoods with access to services, safety, and good schools? I honestly don't know who the fuck came up with this because both dems and republicans in my area are saying to vote NO to this. Especially representatives who have ties to fire and police departments. This pisses me off because idiots who can't think beyond their pocket are all hell yeah cut my property tax! or I don't have kids why should I pay school tax? Because we don't want to raise a generation of idiots who will take over while we're still alive, that's why. Dumbasses. I don't have kids and am not having kids and I will pay school taxes all damn day. There are many downsides to voting yes. Including you paying increased taxes out of your paycheck. If you vote yes for this I don't want to hear you crying about that.
5. Brother P-Touch label makers - I have two, because do you know me? One at the shore and one at home. This is the current home model I have, the shore model is older. They are both awesome and easy to use and if you get a label maker you get a Brother P-Touch, which I learned from Laura, the Queen of Label Makers.
What are you loving lately?
I informed Jack. Vote no.
ReplyDeletei love my label maker! i have the dymo one and it awesome.
ReplyDeleteBig fan of label makers, they are my jam. And LOVE a good body butter.
ReplyDeleteTotally know that if I get a label maker, nothing will be left unlabeled. Nothing.
ReplyDeleteI had a label maker at my old job and I miss it. And you're right, we don't want to raise a generation of idiots who will take over while we are still alive (and that made me LOL). Thanks for linking up when I just got my act together literally minutes ago!
ReplyDeleteI need a label maker. I think K has one, but I don't (and who even knows where his is...). I'm excited to pass out candy tonight! K has been threatened not to touch it. Lol
ReplyDeleteI really want a label maker. So bad!
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten the Budget Bytes app yet, I've been using the site. I really should just spend the $3 and get it though, it seems really nice.
ReplyDeleteI really like the recipes, but I'm annoyed that the app is $3, and I already gave her my money when I bought the cookbook. Of course you have 2 label makers! I've borrowed mine from work a few times and labelled everything at once- so easy to use! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI love budget bytes recipes too! The body shop website is down, those jerks! I feel my skin getting dryer and need that...but not as much as I need a label maker! Have a great day and I hope you have candy left for the trick or treaters!
ReplyDeleteIt's the worst when you find something you love and then you can't find it at the store anymore! I've never had a label maker, but I could see how one (or two), would be so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me - I have no idea where my label maker is.
ReplyDeleteFun fact - I've never had a PB&J sandwich in my life
Target always gets me hooked on something then stops carrying it. WHYYYYYY????? People are idiots and they think ohhhhhh let's take away this tax here or lower that there. NO! It always finds its way in another form. The general population is not logical and it is scary.
ReplyDeleteIt always sucks when you find something that you love and then can never find it in the stores!
ReplyDeleteThe Vitamin E Body Butter is really the best for this time of year when my skin gets so dry! Thanks for reminding me I have a tub it yet to be used since last Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing a label maker. adding it to my list!
ReplyDeleteI used to buy groceries at Target a lot but haven't in awhile.
ReplyDeleteScott loves his labelmaker but I've never really gotten into it.
I just got a label maker at work and I would totally get one for the house...that sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteok, you've sold me on the budget bytes app. i love her website and i follow her on instagram, she's always talking about the app but i didn't really look into it. now i will. i haven't ever tried anything from the body shop but my skin is getting worse each winter so i think i need to check it out.
