I appreciate that Americans are proud to wave the flag too. I have friends that are a married couple - one is American, one is from New Zealand, and they live in NZ - when they travel back to the States, one of their favorite past times is to count the number of American flags flying. I love that!
There really are so many wonderful men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. I love that you love to take pictures of the flag because I do too! They're just always so beautiful!
I always stop to look at a flag flying. I wish there were more to see! I feel like some people only put them up on special holidays but isn't our freedom something to be thankful for every day?!
So very fun! This makes me yearn for an East Coast beach trip. The pics of the flags are so pretty against the sky. I also love how "Political Animals" is nestled against the pug pics, I thought that's what you were referring to, lol. Looks like you and Debbie had a fun, relaxing time. Setting up IKEA furniture is a small bout of hell so that's really nice of her to oblige you with it :)
My personal favorite is the one on the right of the quote. Also, that quote made me tear up. Thanks for posting this. It's often that Americans get wrapped up in an extra day off or "holiday" sales to remember what exactly we are honoring.
I come to this place every now and then. The place is really nice, the crowd is full of regulars, and the food and drink specials are pretty good! The staff at Venues in NYC great and really gets to know your name. Totally worth your time on any night for good food and drink.
