I'm late I'm late I'm late. I already shared my spring goals here. This is the report on my winter goals, which can basically be summed up with a grade of D-. There's always next season! My winter season goals were:
1. Make mozzarella cheese at home. Fail. I got into a thing where I was positive I needed a certain type of milk. Further research let me know I could use almost any milk, but the time ran out.
2. Weights 3x/week and walking once a week. I abandoned my program and need to get back up to speed. The only way I can do that is slowly! Fail. I got back into zumba and walking, but not weights yet.
3. Eat at Abe Fisher. Fail. I meant to go before my birthday but time got away from me.
4. Reconfigure basement rooms and how we're using them. This will require purging and reorganization. Pass, even though it's still in progress. Hampered by ceiling leak and pipe replacement and the decision to paint before I reconfigure.
6. Bake a carrot cake. Fail.
9. Try five recipes I have pinned on pinterest. pear, cranberry, and gingersnap crumble; jalapeno popper quinoa bites; leftover hambone soup; honey soy chicken drumsticks; corned beef and cabbage soup
10. Go up to the Liberty One observation deck. Fail. And I work right next door to it. LOL
Happy weekend, friends!
I think that you still a good job on some of your goals, and a lot of them you could still get done in the spring! The hardest part for me about working out is just getting started, but once I start I'm always good.
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought of Alice in Wonderland ! I'm late. I'm late for a very important date! Awesome on the shore rentals. Goddess speed for a wonderful rental season.
ReplyDeleteLove. Your. Momma.
I think you still did a great job, lady. Woohoo massage.
ReplyDeleteYou got a good amount crossed off despite the others. That's excellent you got the house rented out for a few months already!! Lol @ Liberty One observation desk. I know how that goes. Is it best to go in the winter?
ReplyDeleteI laughed every time you wrote "fail." Meh, it happens. As you said in my last post ("One Day"), if you ran out of things to do, what would be left? what's the fun in that?
ReplyDeleteYou did really well. Congrats on booking your shore house! Abe Fisher looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteMatt actually works in One Liberty Place and he hasn't gone up to see it! I thought maybe they'd give people who work in the building a free pass, but no luck. The summer would be a perfect time for you to take a trip up! The pics I've seen are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm always on the lookout for new recipes. How did you go with the ones you tried? Any you'd recommend?
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of these quarterly goals! Very realistic.

there is always next season for sure! i was on such a roll with new recipes but i have fizzled out lately, so off to pinterest i pop.
ReplyDeleteWoot woot to the new recipes. I've been struggling in that department lately.
ReplyDeleteI think the beauty of these lists is that you can move what you didn't do and still see valuable to the next season. And some of it can just be deemed unnecessary.
Yeah for the shore rental. You had a lot of last minute things come up so don't get to down on yourself. Like you said there is always next time.
