Shit MFD Said Vol 24

I wake up sweating and hear the heat on
Me: Mike! The freaking heat is on 68! It's 60 degrees out!
MFD: I didn't do it!
Me: Really.
MFD: It was just on.
Me: Now we have a magic heater turning itself on to your favorite temperature.
MFD: Shh! I'm sleeping.

MFD: I'm taking this to Africa.
Me: I'm not going to Africa with a man carrying a B.U.M Equipment bag.

MFD: Hey Steph...do we have any car air fresheners?
Me: No.
MFD: Whaaat?
Me: What do you think this is, a store?

Checking out at the thrift store at the shore
MFD: Look at these! All of these ornaments are 25 cents!
Me: Very good...wait, what are those? pointing to hideous Campbell's soup babies ornaments
MFD: They're the Campbell's kids!
Me: They're staring at me and they're creepy and you can't get them.
MFD: Don't worry, they're nice. They're very kind.
Me: No.

MFD: Do you know where the remote is?
Me: No.
MFD: How do you not know where the remote is? It's probably right next to you.
Me: No.
MFD: Oh it's right next to me.
Me: Mmm.

  3. The struggles I have while Gary packs are very similar to what MFD wants to bring to Africa I'm sure of it! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. Lol. The thrift store and the car air fresheners! I used to stock them. Now I put lavender under the seats. Happy rainy, but warm Wednesday. Love. Your. Momma.

  6. I always love these editions--they make me laugh :)

  7. These posts kind of make me miss having a spouse to make fun of. The struggles over the remote location I do not miss... classic!

  8. hahaha my favorite posts. Tell me you did not get the ornaments. Those sound so creepy.

  9. The "you have the remote wait shit I do" happens to us at least once a week. Now I have to go google the Campbell's soup kids to see if they are in fact as kind as MFD claims.

  10. I actually still have B.U.M mid calf tube socks from junior high when they were the coolest things! I'm a sock hoarder and never throw them out unless they have holes in them...and now that i've typed that out i'm slightly embarrassed by that fact. lol.

  11. haha B.U.M..I totally remember those bags. You two are hilarious!!

  12. Ahhhh my favorite! And LOL at a B.U.M. bag, I totally forgot about those since like the early 90's. MFD is bringing the nostalgia! And my husband is the same way about the thermostat, but usually it's for turning on the A.C. when I'm already cold :-P

  13. The thermostat wars are my favorite. And yeah no, those Campbell's kids don't look "very kind"; I hope he didn't actually get them!

  14. B.U.M. Hahahahahahaha!!!!! Ohhhhh don't get me started on the damn thermostat!!! Only Chris is worse because he cranks that bitch to 70 when it was 61 degrees outside. I was working out and I was like damn why is it so hot?!?!? Then I walked down the hallway when I was done and realized why. It is going to be a long winter.....

  15. ah, too funny..love the banter between you two!

  16. Lololol to the B.U.M. Equipment bag. John regularly uses a red Eddie Bauer backpack that I used as a freshman in college 15 years ago. Men just don't give a shit about bags apparently.

The remote game infuriates me. What usually happens is that we go to bed with the TV on, I fall asleep first, then wake up in the middle of the night with the TV still on, wake John up to find the remote, then get angry when he tells me he has no idea where it is. It is ALWAYS on the other side of him. Always.

  17. I'm dying over the heater situation. Just magically setting itself to his temp now huh?? LOL

I hope you stuck to your ground on the creep ornaments. I cannot stand creepy children ornaments....

  18. LOL to the Campbell's kids. Him saying they're kind makes them creepier.

  19. oh i used to have b.u.m shoes! wonder if that was the same company?
i turn the heat up sometimes while KC is sleeping HAHAHAHA.
I googled Campbell's soup babies and now I am going to have nightmares. they are creepy!

  20. B.U.M! Hahahah oh man. He's hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Because car air fresheners are something everyone has extras of laying around... haha

    ReplyDelete
  22. B.U.M. absolutely not! I stand by this 100%

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bahahahah! I would've felt the same way about the creepy Campbell's kids.
I'm dying over the before/after photo, too! lmao

  24. It is hilarious he wanted to get the Campbell's ornaments. Those have always creeped me out a little as well.

  25. I looked up the Campbell's baby ornaments- totally creepy haha!

  26. I haven't thought of a B.U.M anything in years, did he get it on Groupon? Haha

I try to keep Tyson away from any kind of decor, home and holiday. It's always bad if I don't.

  27. LOL @ the Campbell's kids. The photo of the bag is quite hilarious and the fact he chose it in bright pink. ;-)

  28. MFD and his thrifting skills... to be fair, most things I find while trying to do so are creepy. I think it goes with the territory.

  29. That remote control conversation happens at my house at least twice a week.

Sometimes, there is a reason things are at a thrift store...like, when they are creepy baby ornaments.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I mean, I wouldn't go to Africa with someone carrying one either...

    ReplyDelete
  31. I gotta know, did he hold on to a B.U.M. bag from back in the day, did he find one at the thrift store, or do they make them again?!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Haha! They're always trying to blame us for misplacing things when they're usually the ones who do!

    ReplyDelete
  33. haha "they're very kind". MFD is hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  34. My window is open right now because in an apartment, our neighbors heat keeps my apartment too warm. Also, YES, that bag. I love the pink one. I might have to get a brighter color on my next go around.

  35. I feel like we're always arguing over the temperature around this time of year. It's hard to find the perfect temperature when one person (Eric) is always complaining that he's too hot.

The ornament thing cracked me up because it sounds like the kind of conversation Eric and I would have. Haha.

The remote thing also sounds like one of our conversations, however in this scenario, I'm MFD and Eric is you. I think I ask him at least once a day where things are, and I have no idea why I do this. He never knows, especially since I'm usually asking about one of my things. And yes, it's usually right in front of me.
