the toil holiday is upon us

Today is my second day of work for the week, yet I'm ready to give Friday a hug just the same.
Maybe use some time this long weekend to get your read on? Tuesday is the next Show Us Your Books linkup. I'm excited to see what you've been reading, because nothing I've read in the past month has set my soul aflame.

Be safe & happy this weekend, comrades.

  4. Same here on the reading. Nothing was good. So far, I've finished a grand total of one. But I'm headed to the library this weekend so hopefully I'll find something good to read! :) Have a great weekend!

  5. i'm reading a book called "a man called ove" and i swear steph, this is us in like, 20 years...it's like reading my biography of my 60yr old self. it's about old grumpy-ass man who thinks everyone is stupid, doesn't understand the YOUTHS! of today, hates his neighbours who don't follow the neighbourhood rules, loves order and routine, gives everyone cut eye with zero fucks given....oh, i so relate to this book. can't wait to share this with the linkup next week!

  7. I only have five books to review but at least two of them were winners! I'm trying to read The Princess Bride but I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it or not. It's a lot cheesy and more suited to tween.

  11. that sucks that nothing you have read lately has been good.. i'm currently reading code name verity and LOVING it (but could be because i'm listening to it and the narrator is the bomb dot com) and next on my list is throne of glass! i have NO plans this weekend and I am SO excited hence all the CAPS because ALL I'm gonna do is READ. Sorry if that was annoying, but I got really excited for a second.

  15. On my list is Unequal Childhoods... I heard the author speak while I was at Penn. it might make you rage-y though. I definitely should have used this weekend for reading instead of working. Boo.
