Oven baked ribs

I used to start ribs in the oven and MFD would finish them on the grill. I'm done with that. These come out exactly how I like them, and I should have them how I like them because I don't like to eat ribs in public. Finger lickin' good food is best consumed in the home. So if you have a relatively free Saturday or Sunday, pop these in the oven. You won't be sorry. I served them with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and steamed green beans.

Original recipe here.

Oven baked ribs

by Life According to Steph
Cook Time: 4.5 hours
Ingredients
  • 3-5 lb pork spare ribs
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • White pepper
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • ground mustard
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 225.
Cut your ribs in half if necessary to fit on two baking sheets. Baking sheets must have lips and be greased.
Before baking, generously season both sides of ribs with spices. Put them on the baking sheets meat side up. Cover tightly with foil.
Bake for 3.5 hours on two different racks in the oven. Rotate at the 1.5 hour mark.
After 3.5 hours, remove foil, brush barbecue sauce on (more or less to your liking) and put them back in the oven at 300 degrees for another half hour.
