1. Sometimes you're born with shitty relatives, which is why it's awesome that you can have framily: the relatives you choose by choice. Even if your parents or siblings suck, love is out there for you.
2. No one gets to say who you love or how much you love someone. You can love whoever you want with your whole huge heart.
3. Love exercises your heart - it pushes your heart to be bigger to hold all the love that needs a place to live, to stay strong when it's been mistreated, to hold its muscles tight when it's bursting with pride, to keep a steady beat when it's full.
4. Love gives you a safe place to land - when you screw up, feel worthless, get kicked around by life - it's the love of your tribe that will prop you up until you can stand on your own two feet again.
5. Love gives you the opportunity to share with and give to others. It allows you to find joy in their joy. I love my Debbie Rae Designs jewelry and wear at least one piece every day (but am usually wearing two or three bracelets at a time). I love phrases like my heart bursts with love. I love perfumes with the word Love in their names. I will really love and be joyful if everyone, everything, everywhere is safe and sound and warm Especially all these people stuck on the PA turnpike for most of the day. I like the initial bracelets. I was excited for this valentines day, my son, who is 3, has a party at daycare, so I got to make valentines day themed item, and made them crayon hearts for all the kids!!!
I want a bracelet with wooden beads with a few colorful beads thrown in, and a charm that says "peace."
OK, now that that's out of the way.......VD means something totally different to me than it has in the past. I'm really just enjoying all the ways that folks show their love, like you said, in every relationship.

I used to hate Vday. I thought it was a reminder to those who were single that you weren't loved. But, even before I met Terry, I learned that I was loved by a lot of people and not just family. I think it helped me in my relationship with the Mr. And, I love that we don't really go out of the way to celebrate the day. We give each other cards, because I love cards... but I think it's more for little kids. And I can't wait to spoil our little girl next year and show her just how much we love her!
