Thanksgiving
Sunrise, two turkeys + double of the meal made, snacks, one meal dropped off to a local family, beach walk, dinner, The Godfather. It was quiet and perfect in my favorite place.
Black Friday
Sunrise beach walk, discovered I will be buying this library book thanks to Bruce, nails (Sally Hansen Cherry Fast), Dad & Carol arrived, lost MFD to Game of Thrones, spent the afternoon downtown small business shopping on Asbury Avenue and watching Santa atop City Hall during A Small Town Christmas, leftovers for dinner, Stephen/Aubrey/Lola arrived
Saturday
A family beach walk where Lola took the reins with Mae, ice cream and small biz shopping on the boards before Lola Jean did some rides, an afternoon lie down, dinner at The Ugly Mug in Cape May, and a wander around Congress Hall's Winter Wonderland so Lola could go on the train. I’m lacking in photos this week because my phone camera sucks, any minor darkness and they’re blurry AF.
Sunday
A morning beach walk with the dogs, cleaning upstairs and lounging with the family until about noon, a quick run to Drip N Scoop for coffee, and reading downstairs when they left. I was on the road with the dogs by 3:20, hitting Philly just in time to join the Eagles game traffic.
It was a great weekend in the place I love the most with some of the people I love the most, and the last time we’ll be together before a third Stephen joins the world.
No food prep aside from leftovers and no blogs done for the week. I'll roll the dice and see how this goes.
How was your Thanksgiving?
How was your Thanksgiving?
Perfect weekend at the shore for you! Loving all those sunrises! xo, Biana-BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait for baby Stephen to arrive. Beautiful place to spend the long weekend❣️❣️ Oh, Bruce Springsteen with the library book.
ReplyDeleteA glorious week to all❣️ Love. Your. Momma.
I grew up in a town that hosts a huge road race every thanksgiving since my Parents still live in that town and my brother was running we watched. The rest of Thanksgiving was low key naps on the couch, a board game, visiting with friends.
ReplyDeleteChores for days, reading, Christmas (wink wink) and church rounded out the rest of the weekend. Now it’s off to work and I think I’m seeing snowflakes.
yay a new addition to the family; so awesome. LOL at the book. kayla lost a library book so she had to go and apologize to the librarian in person and then replace it with her allowance.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy Thanksgiving. Your turkey looks so good. I appreciate that you actually stuffed it with stuffing. Thanks to Instagram, I'm learning that lots of people don't do that! We did it that way growing up and I can't imagine any other way!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun weekend! I bought that same nail polish and it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice holiday weekend to me. Mine was great; nice combo of everything: Knicks game, shopping, decorating for Christmas, family time, way too much food, Central Park, more food and also relaxing on the couch. Oh, and Target.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like y'all really did have a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones! But bummer about the traffic! That's always the worst part about coming home from a holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Sorry to hear about the traffic, that is always the worse part. I love your pictures from the beach, they are always so calming.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend! I took care of a neighbors pug while they were out of town this weekend and kept thinking of you and yours... they are the sweetest little pups ever!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that you spent the holiday weekend at the shore, sounds perfect and cozy <3
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great holiday. Glad to know Im not the only one with a destructive animal - my cat loves to chew pages of books.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect little shore Thanksgiving :)
ReplyDeleteBummer on the library book. I'm constantly reminding Enzo that we don't put books in our mouths. Ugh.
The stuffed turkey looks amazing and I love Mae's cute coat! Sounds like you kept busy!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you guys had the perfect Thanksgiving shore side!!! I never get enough of your sunrise/sunset pictures. Apparently you didn't give Bruce enough turkey and he had to take to his own devices for food ;)
ReplyDeleteI need that baseball hat - seriously!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFun fact - I've never seen The Godfather. Any of them.
"No blogs" ready at all sounds about right.
ReplyDeleteEagles traffic sounds like a nightmare.
And, Oh, Bruce...
I've never seen The Godfather either!
Man do I love leftovers. I'm so sad that people liked my stuffing as much as they did because it only lasted two additional meals. I don't think it's wrong to make more though... because who the hell cares?
ReplyDeleteI love that nail color and not today, satan hat! And the winter wonderland looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh those beach sunsets and rises, so wonderful. Glad you got some great time with some great people and hey, relax and live on the fly!
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving day was a piece of shit but on Black Friday I made some Amazon purchases, some Etsy purchases, and then took Erica to Six Flags. The rest of the weekend was a blur but it involved Christmas lights.
ReplyDeleteOh, Lizzy eats all the inappropriate things, too.
This looks like the perfect Thanksgiving. Love that your dropped off a meal to others. What a gift! Exciting that there will soon be a third Stephen to add to the mix. :)
ReplyDeletepuppy destruction. always a hoot.
