One million different people use my shower at the shore, so I decided to make a variation of Crunchy Betty's Daily Sparkly Shower Spray. Since I was making it for there, I thought fuck it I'll make it for the shower in the shore apartment (even though we typically shower outside in the summer) and the shower at home.
I use 16 oz glass bottles from Amazon for this type of stuff - this is the blue and these are the brown (set of three).
Ingredients
1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup hydrogen peroxide
4 tsp Dr. Bronner's Lavender Castile Soap
30 drops peppermint essential oil
10 drops lemon essential oil
Directions
Add ingredients to bottle. Shake well every time before using. Use in shower daily after you're finished in there.
I love the smell. I ended up adding 10 drops of lemon essential oil to each bottle a week later and it's a keeper.

ReplyDeleteWhat is the main benefit of this shower spray? It only smells well or it keeps the body active or any other benefit for human body?

I bet this smells awesome!!! I will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteHow long does the spray last? I'm over squeegee-ing my entire shower after every shower and it doesn't help that I'm broken right now. I also feel like spraying the shower is less effort so Fiance will be more willing to spray the entire shower vs squeegee-ing the entire shower, which he already only does the glass.. because that's helpful?
ReplyDeleteHAIKU TUESDAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea. I need this for John's shower.
ReplyDeleteI have a shower spray that I don't really like (similar to Chelsea ^^) so I'm going to give this a whack!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to give this a try. I'm so dang lazy but this looks easy to make and easy to use - I hate wiping down showers.

ReplyDeletePerfect shower cleaner for a rental...I would need all the sanitizing with a nice smell before taking a shower after who knows showered in there.
ReplyDeleteOh! Essential oils-
ReplyDeleteYou add so much to breathing,
and you heal stuff too.
You know, I use a daily shower spray for the sinuses but you'd think I'd be smart enough to make one for cleaning at the same time....derp.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! I love homemade cleaners. I have an empty spray bottle and a brand new bottle of castille soap- time to test it! Thanks for sharing.

This was a great share - I started doing this in the fall & have since got my Mom & sister hooked on using this shower spray. This was the "gateway" to me using essential oils to replace some common homemaking items (now also linen spray & fabric softener, so far).
