I'm a fan of the Q&A games, of lists, of the rule of three. Of three dogs, obviously. So I made these prompts up. I'm curious about your answers, so if you feel like playing along please do so in the comments, for all of them or cherry pick your favorites.
Three things I'd never give up
My independence, sunglasses, painting my nails
Three favorite vegetables
Cucumbers, asparagus, cauliflower
Three shows I watched faithfully from beginning to end
Beverly Hills 90210, LOST, The Wonder Years
Three places I want to visit inside the US
Zion National Park, Seattle, New Mexico
Three places I want to visit outside the US
Iceland, Paris, Moscow
Three things I always have with me
Water, book, camera (phone or real)
Three things that are always in my car
Extra pair of sunglasses, dog poop bags, Totes bubble umbrella
Three most recent phone calls were to/from
Dad, MFD, shore contractor who is capping the windows at the house down there
Three books I read and loved in college

Three most often used makeup products

Three things that make me laugh
Poop/fart stories, Funerals/weddings (nervous laughter counts, yes?), falling
Three things that make me cry
Thinking about my dogs dying, when I'm proud of something or someone, frustration
I am loving this idea! I'd also never give up your three things (people in germany seem to rarely wear sunglasses... very odd). You need to add Germany to your list. I swear, it's awesome! I can't believe I've never read Gone With the Wind. I need to get on that. That YSL concealer is expensive, does it last long?
ReplyDeleteLove me some asparagus and I miss 90210...the later years were my favorite!! I laugh when I fall in public out of embarrassment! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post prompt.. I might have to steal it!
ReplyDeleteI Know This Much Is True, is one of my favorite books, ever! Wally Lamb has a few books I like actually, but that one is a fave of mine.
ReplyDeletehahaha love the poop/fart stories (same!). This is a fun little Q&A which may be borrowed sometime soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I'm not the only one that does the nervous laughter at funerals. I always always say something awkward too. And people falling will never not be funny to me...especially when that person is me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post, gonna borrow it if that's okay!? I always have the same three things with me too.
ReplyDeleteLove this and it has totally inspired tomorrow's post! I love roasted asparagus although I don't think I could leave potatoes off my favourite vegetable list. I'm trying so hard to make a better effort to have my real camera on me all the time but I still often default to the trusty iPhone.
ReplyDeleteThree favorite vegetables
ReplyDeleteCucumbers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts
Three shows I watched faithfully from beginning to end
I cannot event tell you. Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek, Buffy. aaaand... NCIS, Crossing Jordan, Dexter, Person of Interest, Bones, Supernatural, Blacklist, Prison Break, The West Wing, Desperate Housewives, Angel, Dollhouse, SoA, HIMYM, Hart of Dixie, Lie to Me, Gossip Girl... that barely scratches the surface. I'm going to go sit in a corner now.
Three places I want to visit inside the US
Nashville, Harry Potter world in Florida (again, for the new stuff), Venice Beach but only to visit my best friend, if she moves I wouldn't care to go
Three things I always have with me
Lip balm of some sort, my ID, a credit or debit card
Three most recent phone calls were to/from
The uber driver last night, Hawkeye's groomer, my mom
Three most often used makeup products - Sugar Fresh Lips in Nude, NARS radiant creamy concealer in vanilla, Too Faced Better than Sex mascara (funny how close our answers are on this, no?)
I keep thinking that I wish there was some way to capture the hilarious baby farting in our lives these days...it just doesn't stop being funny. Sometimes she farts the ENTIRE time she eats.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that I wish there was some way to capture the hilarious baby farting in our lives these days...it just doesn't stop being funny. Sometimes she farts the ENTIRE time she eats.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally doing this :)
ReplyDeleteI still have the LOST finale on my DVR - cant get rid of it.
Great post already stole it and maybe some of your answers too. PHL just added Icelandic Air to its roster, its a sign! Been to Iceland and Paris, recommend both. Happy Hump Day
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I love this. I want to make a better effort to post and this is an easy one that's still really interesting. Bravo! Places I want to visit inside the US: Seattle (I'm with you!), Boston, LA.
ReplyDeleteFunerals making you laugh made ME laugh.
ReplyDeleteHa- I have a draft like this, except it's 4 things. I shall post next week. Funerals and weddings make me cry! With you on Lost and Iceland- I've actually already started planning for it but it got pushed to possibly next year because of work crap. Falling is my favorite- I can NEVER help laughing even if it's a friend.
ReplyDeleteoh this is fabulous! definitely doing this. 3 is my favourite number, in a weird accidental way. 3 cats! i don't think i've ever asked or found out, did you get all your dogs at the same time, or a few months/years apart?
ReplyDeletethinking about my cats dying makes me want to become a crazy scientist person who can somehow make them live forever.
iceland is on the bucket list. my friend is leaving for iceland next week (no fair!) and my other friend just came back; he was blown away and wants to move there.
ReplyDeleteYou have to visit Seattle! You'd love it! And I'm dying to head to Paris too! I try not to go anywhere without a book either, I don't think that I'd survive otherwise!
ReplyDeleteOoh, this is great! I love this idea. It's a fun way to get to know you better, too! Here are some of mine...
ReplyDeleteThree things I'd never give up
My dogs, living in/near the country, (copying you here:...) my independence
Three favorite vegetables
Asparagus (so good, right??), sweet peppers, potatoes
Three shows I watched faithfully from beginning to end
The West Wing, The Mindy Project, The Newsroom
Three places I want to visit inside the US
friends in Arizona, Yosemite, Seattle
Three places I want to visit outside the US
Egypt, England, Germany
Three most recent phone calls were to/from
Kyle, my parents' house, my best friend Kayla
Three most often used makeup products
Lash-lengthening mascara, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, dark lipstick
Your three tear-inducing things are the exact same for me. Haha.
I love nothing more than a good lists post where you learn something random about a person. I might have to just answer your questions in a post. Probably next week since I have the rest of this week scheduled out. Cauliflower is not my friend. I am just going to say that now. Ahhhhh don't talk about dogs getting old. I most certainly cry when I think about that!
ReplyDeleteHigh five (I mean, not really because it kinda sucks) on being frustration criers. I cry when I'm really mad too, and it makes me even madder because I don't want someone to see me cry and think that they hurt my feelings or something when in reality what's happening in my head is "YOU'RE SO EFFING STUPID I CAN'T EVEN RESPOND WITH WORDS ANYMORE AND MY BRAIN IS CRYING OVER YOUR ASSHOLERY."
ReplyDeleteMy 3 things always with me are lip balm, phone, and water. And by always I mean "mostly" on the latter 2, but I literally don't ever get far away from a lip balm. I need it like a bad habit.
I want to visit Seattle too, and Zion! Actually it's on my list to go to every state in the U.S., but those very specifically.
Love that you used a pic of all 3 duggies in the intro, and poop/fart stories will forever be funny. I stuck with 90210 until the end as well as rough as those last 2 seasons were I still miss it!
ReplyDeleteTotally stealing this from you. Thanks girl.
ReplyDeleteI mentioned to the hubby last week that I'm so painfully aware of our dogs getting older and I was tearing up and he was giving me flack. Not trying to be negative at all, it's just reality of the matter right? It's fkn depressing as hell and I'll probably have to take time off work, but that's okay. I just wished they lived forever, you know? Andddd this is where I stop writing because I'm tearing up again.
Thanks girl. Xo
Lost was/is my jam! That show is SOOOO good! Love this post!
ReplyDeleteI could never give up sunglasses either. I wear them constantly.
ReplyDeletePutting this in the queue for next week!
My camera is always in my purse. I think the one time that I don't have it will be the time that I see Bigfoot or a ghost or werewolf.
ReplyDeleteI love New Mexico.
ReplyDeleteYou asked for our answers in the comments, and here you go:

My sister went to Zion and her pictures are amazing. She said it was absolutely incredible. Now I'm dying to go, obviously.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be hard for me to pick just 3 veggies but I'm with you on the sunglasses! I can't function outdoors during daylight without them.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun . . . saving to do something similar in the future!! You always have fun content - glad to you're "there!"
ReplyDeleteFarts are always funny. ALWAYS.
ReplyDeleteI love that we all read I Know This Much is True in college. I think it was your copy that got passed around, actually.
Stealing this idea.
What is a bubble umbrella? I'm surprised that poop bags aren't surgically attached to you given all the challenges you've had with the pups lately. ;)
ReplyDeleteI cry when I'm frustrated too.
ReplyDeleteZions is fabulous! Surprisingly, Utah in general is a pretty fun, beautiful place, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. I also have a book, a camera and water with me at all times!
ReplyDeleteI am also one of the Q&A lovers when I'm in college. I love getting information's and tend to answer those interesting questions. It was one of my coolest habits during college and it was a great fun for me. Also, with the online cv writing services, I also able to learn a lot of things in learning some writing stuff that developed my skills.
ReplyDeleteYep I'm doing this one. By the way, you and Kristen both need to come to Seattle. It's a truly wonderful place. Has it's up's and down's like any city. But you'd have a blast!
ReplyDeleteThree things I’d never give up
ReplyDeleteTravel, journaling and yep, copying you. My independence. It drives me crazy to have to depend on anyone for anything. I’m stubborn.
Three favorite vegetables
Cucumbers, spinach and jicama.

Full House, Boy Meets World and The L Word.
Three places I want to visit inside the US
New Orleans, Boston and Chicago.

Three things I always have with me
Chapstick, camera (usually phone but it’s better than most cameras) and a pen.
Three things that are always in my car
I don’t have a car. But when I have one it will probably be napkins, a book and an umbrella.
Three most recent phone calls were to/from
W (the newest beau), my friend Marcus and my bank.
Three books I read and loved in college
I only went to college for a short time but: Here on Earth by Alice Hoffman, Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block, Summer Sisters by Judy Blume
Three most often used makeup products
Urban Decay Primer Potion, Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara (Star Wars of course), Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey or Smitten.
Three things that make me laugh
My own hiccup Tourettes (It’s freaking funny sometimes!), cats eating ice cream, babies smelling their own farts.
Three things that make me cry
Thinking about my mom and how much I miss her or just thinking of the past before everything spun out of control, thinking of losing my cat Adonis, dreams of anyone I care about dying.
Hi, I answered these questions after reading them on Kezzie's blog :)
