Let me ask you - would you prefer to have the linkup be close to the calendar date of the season like this one (spring begins on Monday on the calendar), or would you have liked to do a spring goals link up in the beginning of March? And following that, would you do a summer goals link up at the end of May or closer to June 21, when summer begins on the calendar? Let us know what works best with how you work!
Without further ado, here are my spring goals:
2. Attend high tea.
3. Begin learning conversational French.
4. Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
5. Go strawberry picking and make a strawberry pie.
6. Run through a timed cleaning of the shore house a few times and be sure I can get it done in two hours so I'm prepared for rental switchovers on the Saturdays I'll be cleaning it.
7. Improve my home improvement skills.
8. Check out the Chinese Lanterns in Franklin Square.
9. Wear bracelets every weekday and photograph for proof. I have a lot and I typically only wear them if I'm going somewhere.
10. Easter Sunrise on the beach.
Did you set spring goals? Link 'er up below:

Tonight I'll be sleeping out on the sidewalk with Covenant House to raise awareness for the plight of homeless teens. Be sure to follow along on Instagram. If you haven't donated and you'd like to, you can do so here.
Good luck for your sleepout! I like your list of goals, it's a good mix of fun, necessary and educational. I think I need to put a few more fun ones into my list, mine are all quite boring! But I'm using this as a motivational tool... In terms of when you hold the linkup, I'm new to all this so I don't really have a fixed idea of when works. Maybe closer to the new season starting? Then it gets you motivated?
ReplyDeleteI don't think your home improvement skills can get any better, but I'm sure they will!! Good luck tonight with the sleepout - I hope you have a great weekend! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGod and Goddess speed to you and Mike Doyle raising funds for these kids. Being out there on their own is heartbreaking. May everyone have a home. Ok on the goals!
ReplyDeleteLove the Easter sunrise. Reminds me of my friend Bob Ehret who always attended a sunrise service. Hello to Bob on the other side. Looking forward to your bracelet pictures. Happy Friday. Love. Your. Momma.
Good luck with your spring goals. Whale watching is a lot of fun. They're available all around Boston, Cape Cod, and Maine. Duo Lingo is a free app that can help with your French. Bonne chance!
ReplyDeleteI would prefer the March 1st, June 1st, September 1st and December 1st start of the seasons. Let's face it by all of these dates aren't we already in season switch over? Lol alson these dates are meteorological season dates.
ReplyDeleteOMG, it IS almost spring. I read this and I have spring on the brain, but time is flying and I can't believe spring is here next week. Sheesh! I like your goal list! The sunrise and strawberry picking are my fave!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to whale-watch and I think it's cool you're going to wear bracelets everyday. That's the one jewelry item I hardly ever wear because I struggle to find them small enough for my wrists. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGood luck tonight! Seasonal goals are a much easier thing to achieve for me too.
ReplyDeleteI think the more times you clean the shore house after guests the faster you'll get at it.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to strawberry pick last year but we didn't make it, I've got it on the to do list again this spring.
Love the Easter sunrise!! Now... Are you trying for high tea in Philly or elsewhere?? Dorling Kindersley makes this great mini phrase book and CD. The CD is one of the best days I've found to start picking up a language. It's cost effective too!!
ReplyDeleteEaster sunrise on the beach sounds so lovely!
ReplyDeleteIs there a place to go to for high tea? Sounds FANCY!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with the date either way. I feel like the 1st of the month tends to draw a lot of linkups and goals posts, but it is easier to remember. But I have no strong feelings on the matter :)
ReplyDeleteWhale watching, so cool! Was the strawberry one on last year's list? Or something similar? I feel like there was a make a pie one before but I can't remember if you checked it off - if not, pie recipe please!
What is the method you plan to use for conversational French? Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteHave fun on the sleep-out; great cause!
You have some fascinating goals! Where do you plan to whale watch? Strawberry picking sounds like something I need to add to my list.
ReplyDeleteI'll make a spring goal of helping you eat said strawberry pie :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you made seasonal goals work for you! I try to do them at all different intervals, I think it helps me, but it's good that you figured out what works best for you! :) Where do you live that you get to go whale watching?!?!?! I LOVE WHALES! I've been twice on vacations, I'm always collecting new places to visit to see whales. (yes, so serious, I legitimately love whales... :P ) I love all of your spring goals. We love pie at our house, we had it at our wedding... but I have never made a strawberry one. This may be the year that changes, great idea. I so far just have the goal to survive April... which is looking really freakin' busy. Currently eliminating plans left and right to try to combat it... Goodness. I would love to have a picnic. XO - Alexandra

I don't remember if I've recommended duolingo to you before, but I love the app and have been using to try to learn French and German.
ReplyDeleteWhale watching! I've always wanted to do that. and a sunrise on the beach sounds superb. I'm working on my nashville bucketlist and this is giving me some good ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your spring goals! You have a great mix of Philly things, but also some great outdoors things as well. I don't think that you can beat an Easter sunrise! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I love the Philadelphia Museum of Art! It's so fantastic. I have never been on a whale watch but have always wanted to go on one.
ReplyDeleteAn Easter sunrise on the beach sounds beautiful, and high tea sounds like fun! Great goals, and yay for spring. Happy Friday :)
ReplyDeleteAgain.. YOU'RE AWESOME! Good luck tonight, and thank you. I'll have to come up with some spring goals and join you. ;)
ReplyDeleteStrawberry picking is so much fun, I'm not sure they have that here. I'm looking forward to blueberry picking though.
XOXO

I want to go whale watching!!!! Your goals sound wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhale watching would be AWESOME! I've always wanted to do that, too. We used to go strawberry picking every year with our Dad for Father's Day. Good memories. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really into your goal list. That sounds like a weird thing to say, but whatever. I like the mix of practical (cleaning the shore house) and the rest of the fun, "I'll do it someday" stuff we all have on our lists. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove these goals! I need to get on the ball and make my list!
ReplyDeleteWould love to do a high tea!!!!
Fabulous goals! I'm a big fan a lovely high tea. Getting myself back on track this spring and totally linked up :)
ReplyDeleteI love that your goals for spring are mostly enjoyable/fun goals. I tried to mix a few of those in as well. It's always so much easier to accomplish your goals when you actually want to do them (as opposed to just needing to do them)!
ReplyDeleteI really want to learn French as well, but I haven't felt like I've had the time and motivation to spend working on it. My ultimate goal is to become fluent enough that I can watch and understand French films without relying on subtitles. Haha. I love French movies, so I felt like that would be a good goal for me. However, it will take a LOT of time and work (or I imagine it will, at least). Maybe at some point I'll put this on my seasonal (or even yearly) goals. I can always start small with a few basic phrases and work my way up.
As for your question about dates, I don't think it really matters whether you guys host the link-up at the beginning of a month or when the actual season starts. I'll probably follow the calendar for my own personal start and end dates (apparently this year it's March 20th for spring and June 20th for summer, but for some reason I always thought it was the 21st), but that doesn't mean I wouldn't link up on or around the first of a month if that's what you guys decided to do. I would just continue working on my previous seasonal goals (if necessary) until the date I designated for myself and then switch over to the new ones. Not a big deal.
Thanks for hosting! You know I always enjoy a good goal setting post and link-up. :-)
i normally go by 1st of the month to the end of the 3rd month, but i know i am in the minority there. i will post mine probably at the beginning of june (because i will be on my cruise when summer 'technically' starts) but i'll just link up whenever you guys do the link up!
ReplyDeletewhale watching! so fun. i would love to do that. i am horrible at wearing bracelets (almost wrote brackets because apparently it really is march madness over here) or jewellery in general, i need to make it a goal to make more of an effort in that regard.
Love your fun and fanciful goals like wearing bracelets every day and seeing the Chinese lanterns at Franklin Square. This year, I set yearly goals and will try to get them done by spring LOL.
ReplyDeleteOoooh where are you going whale watching? I've always wanted to do that. And I always *think* I want to attend high tea, but then I remember that I don't rally like dressing up or being all proper-like lol. As for dates for the linkup, I prefer closer to the calendar date of the new seasons, so June 21st for summer. Love the versatility of your goals- good luck!
