Friday night Freddy & Alex got married. The rain held off and there was much joy, happiness, and good cheer. It was a fun night.
That's MFD officiating the ceremony up there. |
Saturday I did weekly food prep: egg/cheese/ham muffins and a side of snap peas for breakfasts; zoodles with sauce and ground turkey for lunch; carrots, granny smith apples, and orange peppers for snacks; dinners - baked chicken and salmon, roasted potatoes, roasted brussels and steamed asparagus. I also made my inaugural batch of bulk iced coffee.
I laid my clothes out for the week, did some exercise at home and ran errands - Produce Junction, Redner's, and Ross. This was the first week after the 40/40 and I exercised six out of seven days.
Saturday night we celebrated Eva the Diva's first birthday in grand diva style. The theme was Wonder Woman because she is one. I love a well executed party theme. Great job super parents!
Sunday was sheet changing and the dreaded winter cleanup of the yard. Hatey hate hate hate. It did serve as three hours of exercise for the day though. I gave up at three hours. There's more to do. Here's a nice photo of the flowers I bought this week and some ugly yard pics. Enjoy! The dogs supervised me in the yard, so when we came in they were spent. Mae is pretty much hanging off the couch. LOL
Sunday dinner, magazines, and CSI Cyber rounded out the day.

Haha, I think I'm with ya on #TeamHillary :) Your food prep always amazes me! Get it, gurl!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job sticking with the 40/40 challenge. Eva's party looks so fun and I love a good theme. The dogs look exhausted I am sure they were the perfect quality inspectors of every blade of grass. ;)
ReplyDeleteAren't those blow dry bars the best invention ever? Your hair looked fabulous at the wedding, and whoo hoo for MFD officiating! And my dog always looks just as exhausted after I do all the work :-P
ReplyDeleteHave a great week :)
#TeamHillary!!! I need to get a zoodler ! Awesome with the exercise. Continued Goddess Speed. Today will be warmer than yesterday! Bring it, Spring!! I love your Wonder Woman shirt. Very appropo!!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy, warm, easy week!
Love, Your Momma
I'm still waiting for the live oak out back to finish losing it's leaves so I can rake again. At least my arms look nice after all the raking.
ReplyDeleteI love the Wonder Woman theme idea, pretty original for a first year party!
A weekend that starts out with a wedding is always fun! That first birthday looked like so much fun!!! Hope you have a great start to your week! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks pretty from the wedding- I'm not a big fan of oils in my hair either. we went to a wedding this past weekend too- luckily no rain!
ReplyDeleteBlow dry bars at the best thing ever!! Sounds like it was a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat Wonder Woman cake is awesome! I loved that show when I was a kid. Hairdressers insist on putting so much goop in my hair and I always warn them it never looks good. I have fine hair and I end up looking like a grease ball.
ReplyDeleteI am exhausted looking at your clean up outside. We have to do that this weekend I think - UGH. Hate outdoor work. I also Hatey Hate Hate Hate it - hehehe
ReplyDeleteAnd - Maybe I should lay out my outfits for the week - Save some extra time? Hmmmm - - - You may have just inspired me!
Love the pictures from the Wonder Woman BDAY! TOO CUTE!
Happy Monday!
#TeamHillary Kick some ass girl!!!
ReplyDelete#TeamHillary Kick some ass girl!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Wonder Woman theme.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to a blow out bar. I have so much damn hair I'd feel bad for the person working on me. Also, I'm pretty sure Delaware doesn't have them. Because why would we?
great weekend! That last meal looks amazinnnngggg. And I'm so into zoodles, I've eaten them so much lately- delicious.
ReplyDeleteAlso, your friends look like they lucked out with the weather! From the pictures it looks like that type of weather that's a break from the rain. Perhaps I'm wrong but I'm happy for them if I'm right!!
Love the dog pics (always).
What a fun birthday party theme, love it!!! Sounds like you had a busy weekend. I spent some time cutting the grass Saturday and Sunday. We still need to do some clean up though that consists more of just cutting the grass. Sigh. And I feel like we need to dig up this ugly eye sore bush that we have and replace it with some flowers or something. So much yard work! Hope you have a great week. I am going to be dreaming about being able to go home and lay on the couch Mae style.
ReplyDeleteYour hair looked great for the wedding! Cute party theme on Sat night!
ReplyDeletethe wedding looks like a great time, the bride looks so happy :) my hair is not a fan of Moroccan oil products either, boo. not that we have any blow dry type bars here. i really need to try zoodles, i keep forgetting to buy a zucchini (or anything that can be oodle-ised.)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try a blow out place but I get nervous to spend my money on it because my hair does not like heat. I want it to come out pretty and perfect like I see on other people and I have a feeling it would just be a big frizzy mess.
ReplyDeleteI use Moroccan argan oil regularly in my hair because it's so dry. I thought that was good on everyone's hair. Does it make it greasy?
What is in the brownie pan, the breakfast muffins? I'd love that recipe! I have a brownie pan recipe book (word document) and I love finding new ones to add to it.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to go to a Blow-out Bar, or however you call it! Looks like a great weekend. I love the Super Baby theme!
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks amazing. So far I am not Team Hillary, but I'll keep an open mind. We'll see how she feels about treating our military.
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth did you do to darling Mae to tire her out just so much?! The poor girl. AHAHAHHA Such a rough time.
ReplyDeleteI like those little rectangular/square shaped muffin tins. I do those for work for us in the mornings too!
xo
Good for you for keeping up with the exercise. And the meal planning!
ReplyDeleteLove the Wonder Woman b-day theme. I made my oldest be WW for Halloween when she was about 6 because she couldn't pick a costume and WW was my hero lol. She did not hate it. Can you please clone Mae? Winston needs a girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteeva the diva! love the nickname and party idea. i also love the pups helping to supervise the yard work. i fall every time for a pup's tongue sticking out.
ReplyDeleteI love those flowers. Gorgeous. Eva's outfit for her party is perfect!
ReplyDeletePretty pretty flowers! You guys look great in the wedding pics! Sounds like a busy weekend, per your usual :) Congrats on keeping up the exercise.
ReplyDeleteSunday's dinner looks yummy! I'm right there with you about the yardwork. Can't say it's an enjoyable activity, but the results should be worth it, right? Your Wonder Woman shirt - fantastic!
ReplyDeleteYour pugs make me so happy every time I see them!! So cute! My parents are in the middle of the winter cleanup....my yard goes ignored because the landlord handles aka does nothing with it. The birthday party looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLove that wonderwoman cake! Also #TeamHillary. She probably needs a wonderwoman cake too!
ReplyDelete-Heather
I do what I want.
I'm not into Moroccan oil either. It's too much for my fine hair. The outdoor wedding venue looked so pretty! I love a good themed party too! Wonder Woman is an awesome choice! We are slowly getting started on yard work and I hate it all.
ReplyDeleteI love the decor at your friends wedding! The letters on the books... so cute!
ReplyDeleteSunday dinner looks delicious!!!!! Taters and asparagus... mmmm!
The wedding looked beautiful! And I want your Sunday dinner!
ReplyDeleteEva's Wonder Woman tutu is amazing!!!! They need to do that in my size!
